The Aakash tablet has a 7 inch screen size and based on Android 2.2. It is touch screen tablet which has a HD video co-processor for multimedia of high quality and the core graphics accelerator to make application run faster. The Aakash tablet is the only Android based tablet d in the market which has DataWind UbiSurfer browser. This browser has has 18 international patents. UbiSurfer the browser speeds up web pages by factors of 10x to 30x, allowing Web experience whose speed is unmatched.
Akash tablet includes WiFi connectivity and support for optional 3G modems. Two full size USB ports are integrated into the unit for pen drives, external keyboards, web-cams, dongles and other low-cost devices to be attached. One of the USB ports for full regular size pen drives to be plugged-in is also available as an added advantage over other tablets.
Accessory provided with the tablet by Aakash is the case Keyboard leather. The leather protects the device, but also has a built-in keyboard for fast typing and processing of the device as a small notebook.
